[pct-l] re pertaining to dogs

I remember in '99 a woman brought her dog through the early season Sierra.
It was somewhat messy as the dog postholed a lot, if I remember correctly
(not that the woman didn't!). Also, she had to wake up reeeeeally early to
get out of Yosemite because her dog wasn't allowed there and she needed to
get out of T. Meadows before a ranger caught her. I remember hearing horror
stories in past about dogs having the pads on their paws rubbed raw from the
hours and hours on the trail, but they could just be stories and not fact.
Any other thoughts?
