[pct-l] re pertaining to dogs

Dogs are permitted leashed or "under control at all
times" on the trail except they are not permitted at
all on the trail when you are inNational Parks. (It
disturbs and changes the eco-system).

I prefer to have dogs on trail as long as they are leashed.
Unleashed/uncontrolled dogs have snapped at hikers and
arrived "unexpectedly" in camp at the worst time (you
are preparing food and there is dust around and they
charge in and ruin the food :-)

Some forests allow a dog off-leash, most do not.

This information is dated a few years but it was
written on my CA permit last year.
