[pct-l] altimeter watches? + cross country skiing

Skiing the PCT from Nov - May. Now THAT would be an adventure. ( Have to 
except the Mojave of course). Probably even make it into National Geographic. 
Donner Party reenactment or kickoff anyone? Or maybe just a picnic? ( No 
pesky ants in winter and a natural refrigerator for all that "meat". And 
igloos or snow caves weigh zip. (okay, except for a titanium shovel). And 
using the chair lifts at White, Snoqualmie, and Stevens passes would 
definitely be considered cheating!
