MSR is bring out a new version of the Whisperlite that has a simmer valve
like the Dragonfly later this year.

The whisperlite pump is what makes it simmer and is interchangeable with
other MSR stoves. I didn't like the way my XGK stove simmered so I used my
old whisperlite pump on it an VOILA! I know nothing about the dragon fly
