[pct-l] new to list

<< About how much money does food and stuff like that add up to???? >>

Welcome to the list, Mary. Of course, this depends a lot on what you plan to
eat, and where you buy it. Why don't you start planning some menus and then
cost it out? If you shop in bulk and avoid the freeze-dried stuff, you can
probably do with about $200 per month, minimum, for food. This doesn't
include shipping, fuel, film, meals in town, motels or any equipment costs.

If you buy as you go, you'll pay more for food but save some shipping costs.
There has been quite a discussion about this option on the list in the past
couple months.
