[pct-l] headphoneless radios in the backcountry

Given my choice between a radio and the two guys I ended up with in the
Gooch Gap shelter a few years ago. I just didn't realize that humans could
snore THAT loud. It was funny....for the first hour or so. As the night
progressed it got a lot less funny.

Get ear plugs. People talk all night, play games, snore, dogs bark, mice
get into cellophane, skunks prowl around. The deep dark woods are not really
very quiet at night, especially at a shelter. Ear plugs will get you a lot
of sleep.
