As for anticipated cost for PCT thru-hike, $ 2000-$ 3000 is a solid round
figure for on-trail costs generally thrown around for 5 1/2 month trip ,
not including normal at-home liabilities, and transportation to and from
trailheads. This assumes good equipment commencing, with normal depreciation
and usual replacement of normally exhausted gear.
