This article is published by a company ( Natural Heritage Enterprises ) that SELLs "organic sea salt." So much for credibility. This site reads JUST LIKE the DHMO page http://www.dhmo.org/ except the salt folks are trying to sell you something too.

With typical snake oil salesmanship, they claim that not using the proper salt will lead to almost every illness in existence. A sure sign that a "cure" is bogus is when it gives a very long laundry list of things that it will fix. This site is a classic example.

The claim that pure sodium chloride is "harmful" is just plain ignorant. NOT getting enough enough will kill you (called hyponatrimia) getting too much may cause high blood pressure in those genetically susceptible. A good reference showing how much pure NaCl you need when you are sweating profusely is http://www.fred.net/ultrunr/noakes.html Endurance athlete need way more than they can ingest while exercising.....

A quick look at Blisterfree's reference site's analysis of the their own sea salt ( http://www.nhe.net/salttest.htm )shows it is almost all (98%) just plain Sodium Chloride, with some Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium. Strontium, and Silicon thrown in. All the other '"trace elements" occur in less than one part per million. Not enough to even make up a decent multi vitamin tablet. You get lots more of these trace elements eating some green leafy vegetables
