The reson there is even an APS system is because the film and camera
manufacturers wanted to make more money by offering an "Advanced" system
marketed to consumer photographers. It is neat the new technologies they
incorperated. But, it is a smaller negative than 35mm which means less
quality.
As far as dichotomizing aps and 35mm - lets compare them to a macintosh and
a braeburn apple. Which tastes better to you? I would like to convince
everyone on this list to choose ( in all things) what they like and not
what the majority, society, your neighbor or advertisements tell you to
like.
