If WC plans to stay a few days, there's a campground by the lake just south 
of town (maybe 2 miles). Hitching a ride to/from the Lake into Lone Pine 
should be simple as it's along Hwy 395. 

There are also some BLM campgrounds along the road between Horseshoe Meadows 
and Lone Pine, but getting to/from town would not be simple.
