[pct-l] Plantar Fasciitis

Hi Ted,

I am a sports medicine physical therapist. Have you tried a consult with a PT? If this is a recurring issue there is likely something biomechanical going on. While this can vary between people, I most often find extremely tight gastroc/soleus (you want to make sure to stretch both of these muscles), weak plantar intrinsics (the little muscles in your feet), and restricted mobility in the rearfoot (heal) as well as improper footwear for the individuals foot. A trip to a good PT to get some exercises on how to prevent this as well as manage flare ups would be my suggestions. Whatever you do don't let the doctor shoot cortisone in to your foot. It hurts and it won't solve the issue.
