[pct-l] Echo Chalet no longer a resupply point

Sad the way the trail is changing. When we started opening our home to
hikers they all were interested in the beauty and adventure of the trail.
The last 3-4 years the roving frat party is becoming   more popular. The
Entitlement (my shit don't stink) attitude disease is spreading. Those who
are on the support end of the PCT are looking for ways to keep things
running smoothly and not just close the doors. As to what the Echo Chalet
said about the mail......we changed our mail rules. About a 1/3 of the 700
hikers 2 years ago couldn't seem to read our hiker mailing
instructions........ last year over 1/2 of the hikers.  Now we accept NO
mail of any kind.  The hikers now will deal with only the PO.  The drinking
got out of hand.......now there is NO hiker drinking. We used to have a
really nice hot tub...... it's gone. If you are getting the overall
picture. I wonder how some of the problem hikers and their buddies make it
when they get off the trail ? Who taught these hikers to act like this to
the world ??  I was taught to run my life by the Golden Rule........do unto
others as you would have them do unto you.
