[pct-l] Just joining....

Just a slight correction- I do not want to claim honors that don't belong to me. I have not hiked the entire CDT. I have hiked about 1,000 miles of it- what I would consider some of the prime sections. I now want to begin section hiking the PCT the same way but like the CDT picking one section over another is not going to be easy.

I do like the desert hiking though- discovered that from doing southern NM. And I live in southern AZ east of Phoenix.

And I am also fishing for another retired person (or not so retired) that would be content to hike about 12- 14 miles a day. I have so much to learn about the PCT....

If you've done the CDT, then there's not much you can learn here, except I guess towns, water source locations, hostels, etc. The gear and mental parts, you've already mastered. I salute you.

Delighted to be part of the pct-l. Mango, thanks for the advice but I learned that much on the CDT.

Doug,

Welcome to the List. Here's my initial advice.

Fall uphill.

Pee downhill.
