[pct-l] TRT Hike

All this talk about parking along the TRT has renewed my interest in a TRT hike, but have been somewhat put off by reports of heavy use on the trail. If I went about this time of year (after Labor Day) is there a bit more solitude? I recognize that some sections will receive more traffic--hiker and mountain biker--then others, but I would not enjoy having mountain bikes blasting by me for days on end. Perhaps trying to time some of the sections for weekdays will help?

Is the hiker/equestrian traffic similar to the JMT?

Thanks for your comments.
