Hey Strider--you are so right. and there are more and more people in stores now who are longdistance hikers. I see both. The "old information"
people just make the hiking harder than it needs to be.I was such a novice on the AT that I had,when fully loaded,a 42 pound pack--now it's never over 25w/water,6 days of food and I'm not even a very liteweight hiker. Marmot
