Hello Stefan,
Your best source of information on hiking on the PCT with a dog will come from Vicki Mattson. She, her son, Jay, and their dog, Utah, did a good part of the PCT last year, and, I think, are returning this summer to finish. Utah is a certified service dog. I had picked up the three of them at Cajon Pass last April and drove them to and from the Kickoff.

Hi Vicki, hope you and your family had a great holiday season.

Subject: [pct-l] Successful Thruhike with Dog
Hello everybody,
I don't want to start a discussion whether this is good or bad. I am pretty
well aware about the pros, cons and risks of hiking with a dog. I just want
to know if there are people who have done a thruhike of the PCT with their
dog and succeeded.
I would be very interested in how they did it. Any contact off the list in
this regard is welcome.
Best,
Stefan
