[pct-l] Off Topic - Road Trip Trip in CA

I am driving from San Diego to San Francisco in late August with my
daughter. We are planning on taking 3 days.  Can anyone suggest some nice
state/national parks that are on the way to camp at.

We are coming back down the coast, so something inland would be preferred.
