[pct-l] Off Topic - Road Trip Trip in CA

If you were to drive north along 395, you'd pass campground after campground.  Most of them above 6,000' where it's a lot cooler than the central valley <g>  At Ebbitts Pass, or Sonora Pass you could turn left and drop down through Gold Country to San Francisco.  

There's the June Lake loop, Big Pine Creek below Palisades Glacier, the beautifully preserved mining town of Bodie,   Bridgeport is a week in itself.
You can tell I have a thing for the east side.
