[pct-l] maps and bnooks

After all this discussion on maps and books.....a couple years ago we had a
guy come though here SOBO that did the whole trail with no maps or guide
books.  That was also his trail name....No Map. Most hikers (wisely) study
and carry maps. Some educate themselves for a year or two before their Thru
Hike. Occasionally a few just throw a bunch of stuff together and hit the
trail. Don't think too many of them make the whole trip.
