I got my A-60 Aircast ankle supports promptly in the USPS. They have illustrated instructions for putting them on and adjusting them. The pair of them weigh 5.6 oz. The package insert was from DJO, LLC, 1430 Decision Street, Vista, CA 92081-8553, 800-526-8785. This address is only a few miles from me, but I have not called them to see if the product is available over the counter. The supports are very well made and stitched with good quality thread. (Unfortunately, made in China, packaged in Mexico.) They go on easily and feel very secure as well as comfortable. The fit is very good inside my running shoes, which are sized 1/2 size large. In walking 2.6 miles, carrying 36 lbs, on sidewalks they did not loosen up to the point of needing to adjust the velcro straps. I wore them over my light inner sock, but under my heavier outer sock. Seemed most comfortable that way. They are clearly labeled right and left. I am very hopeful that the solution to my floppy ankle problem has been found. BTW, they are not $60 ea if you shop around. I found mine on Amazon.com, but the supplier was ShopMedicalSupply, 18720 Oxnard St #113, Tarzana, CA 91356-5944, 818-705-5511. For some reason, there is a different price for the right and left men’s medium. Can’t comment yet on whether they might cause blisters, which I doubt, or on ultimate durability. Hike on!
