[pct-l] Public transportation out of Tehachapi

My wife is going to be watching our 5 year old, while working, while I'm on
the trail. The only thing she asked for was to be able to go to a conference
in mid-April. 
 
Never make it hard for someone to do you a favor, especially your spouse. 
 
So, my problem is how to get from Tehachapi to Salt Lake City and after
about a week home, get back to Tehachapi.
 
Any suggestions?
