[pct-l] Bear ideas

Hey Fireweed,
When I've camped and kayaked the Cariboo and Rockies in BC I always carried
a can of bear spray in a holster too.  I've never relied on an air horn
myself, and had not even heard of it until several days ago.  I mentioned it
to a guide yesterday and his response was that an air horn might scare a non
aggressive bear, but would probably just piss off a charging bear where
their might be a chance if you hit him square in the face with bear spray.
 Who knows.  I'm more comfortable in brown bear country with a can of bear
spray.
