I recently became aware of a little known transportation idea from Chester
to Red Bluff.  They are also a mail carrier and a pair of hikers booked
seats from Chester to Red Bluff recently.  Leaves the Chester Post Office
about 2:15 pm, I think.  From Red Bluff you could probably find
transportation to Redding - it's only about 30 miles - and possibly Mt.
lassen Transit has a connection.
