[pct-l] detour sections in Northern WA state

You might try contacting the forest service office and talking to  
someone to get the latest information. Keep in mind they are going to  
strongly push you to taking the detour even though the detour is in  
less well-maintained condition than the PCT.

When you get to Steven's Pass, you can go to the forest service  
office (hitchhike, it's close to Skykomish) and purchase a map of the  
detour if you want and have the forest ranger mark out the route for  
you. I did that, although in the end I didn't take the reroute.
