[pct-l] Help needed to stock 3rd Gate Cache

Got a few questions..........I'm not either way on the water cashes since I
am not a hiker.

Where did Mad Monte get his water in the '70's when he hiked the trail ?

When did the water cashes start ?

Why is it illegal to set out bottles of water on the trail ?

Why do some folks have a problem with those hikers who need the water ??

What would happen if there were no water cashes on the PCT ??

What would happen if a lot of the water sources dried up ??
