Other than destroying the land we all love to hike in, I can also say that
I've never met an OHVer that was anything close to kind or friendly to me as
a hiker - at least not out on the trail.  As if I'm the "gov'mt liber'l comy
tryin'a take-way ther rites".

Every other human - even the serious hunter-types - will wave back when I
wave to them.  These OHVers are the kind of people I go to the backcountry
to get away from.
