[pct-l] Motels on the Kern River

Hey - Whatever the name of the town is where the rafting concessions are ( on the Kern R ) I stayed there at a motel and felt that the local motel owners had perhaps price fixed amongst themselves the cost of a night ' s stay ; felt that way . Otherwise a nice little town with it ' s own green along the water . . . 
Eventually I ended up going up the road to the camp ground on the river above town - up stream . This was in 2004 .
