[pct-l] Cuben Tarp and Pack Cover

Anyone had any experience with a tarp or pack cover made from cuben?

Is it really totally water-proof?  How do they stand up to PCT weather
conditions; especially the wind?  If you made it your-self, did you sew or
tape the seams, and how did they perform?

Cuben is very light and therefore tempting to make gear from; despite the
price.  But I would hate to take that path and then find that the first
storm shreds the gear.
