My 18 yo son and I are thru-hiking the JMT SOBO starting 7/24. We are
deciding whether or not to bring a pair of light weight Keens, Tevas or
something similar to use for stream crossings (so our light weight hiking
boots don't get too wet) and to wear at the end of the day at camp. Does
anyone have an opinion on whether it is worth the extra weight? And if we do
bring them, what do you recommend? We are aiming to keep our packs to 30-35
lbs with food. Thanks.
Scott
