Ok, so that sounds absurd. But it's coming soon, within 3 years. Some of you 
may have heard of 'carbon nanotubes'. This is the new miracle material to be 
used for aircraft construction to clothing. It's real, it's here and it's 
beginning to be mass produced cheaply.

Imagine a 1 square yard of material that weighs 0.003 ounces and it's 50 
times stronger than steel. That's whats coming.

Packs, stuff sacks, bear bags, clothing, all possible. It's not water proof, 
so introducing a silicone treatment would greatly increase the weight, but 
still much lighter than anything that exists today.
