for anything other than a mild case of poison ivy or oak i would use Zanfel. it is a cream, sort of expensove but it works, in minutes. i worte a medical guide for thru-hikers last year. it needs to be updated, which i'm working on, but you can print it for free off postholer. google "thru-hiekr medical guide". good luck. stewart aka. cabron
