Out of the 150-200 hikers that actually finish the PCT each year there are
only 2-3 hikers (maybe) each year that are on a self imposed "speed" hike.
Some hikers are section hikers....some finish the whole trail. Everyone is
on their own schedule and don't really seem to give a hoot what Scott, Joe
or any other hiker does. HYOH...that has been said by the old timers out
here who some of the inexperienced hikers go to for advice. If you got a
problem with the way another hiker hikes..........then HYOH. Otherwise it's
really no one's business or concern how another hiker paces him-her self.
