One fall day we were hiking an in-and-out from Southfork parking to 
Slushy Meadows in the San Gorgonio Wilderness, with three llamas.
On our way out we spotted three hunters hunkered over the trail, 
intently studying the ground.  As we walked closer they all busted up 
laughing.  They said, "we thought we were tracking the three biggest elk 
in the wilderness!"
Nah, just us llamas.
That incident left me thinking hard about hiking with llamas in the fall.
