1983?
We may have met on the trail there.
I went there, or through there more than a few times between '79 and 2001.
Did a lot of writing there. Slept on the cabin floor once, lots of mice
running around all night.
Went there in 1990 and the cabin was
demolished............................... but I didn't have to look for
firewood.
The last night I was there (2001?) a good sized buck kept coming close to
the fire and challenging me. I don't know if he wanted my food, the
territory, or my woman.
I had some bear experiences near there too. Felt something on my ear once.
It was a good sized black bear less than 6 inches from my face. Saw
something rolling around in some ferns. Snuck up on it to find the cutest
little black bear rolling around on its back. (I didn't stick around to
savor the wonderful moment.)

Yeah, I have a lot of memories in the Marbles too.
