Blister free asked: Just curious, what sort of temperatures were you
operating the stove in?
I am removing the stove from -10F and lighting it within 5 seconds
thereafter. The stove and canister are probably at -8F when they light [I am
estimating this based on how fast my thermometer warms up when withdrawn
from the freezer].
I personally don't see how lighting a butane/propane stove in the tent and
warming the first pan of water as a big deal. Once you have a pan of warm
water you can use it to warm up the canister and melt subsequent snow
outside the tent.
