[pct-l] rewarding side trips

Ezra wrote of the joys of exploring sites and scenes on the PCT and
taking side trips. Might I suggest, as does PCT book p. 460, that you
take the time necessary to climb (walk up) Mt. Eddy?  It is a grand view
north into OR and south into the beginning of the Sacramento River and
Castle Crags.  You look down on Black Butte and Interstate 5, and, it
feels like you can just reach out your arm and touch Mt. Shasta!  Great
views, and all the way around, a great side trip. Enjoy your hike! JoAnn
