As to whether or not there's other additives
in the dry gas, or if it's the same thing as the stuff from the hardware
store, I can't tell you.... Any chemistry majors out there?
In reply, METHYL HYDRATE is the main ingredient in this gas line antifreeze.
Here in cold Ontario, Canada, the Gas Companies put it in gasoline whenever
the weather starts getting cold. But if you need additional antifreezew,
just buy it by the gallon at the hardware for the same price as a few ounces
of what they sell at the rip-off station. As far as other ingredients go,
they usually state that on the bottle, and they'd be of no value, except
many distributors add a smelly substance that should prevent "Winos" from
drinking it.
As Annie and The Salesman said later in their reply, you can use alcohol
sold at hardware stores, and it doesn't smell.
