[pct-l] iodine tablets

I was concerned about proglonged use of iodine tablets while hiking the
PCT this year.  A backpacking store on the other side of the Bridge of the
Gods consulted their sports doctor for me and left a note on the trail,
how sweet.  The doctor said that iodine accumulations in the liver
become toxic after years of use, not a few days or even after a season of
hiking.  Since this seems to contridict another post, I think it would be
best to consult a few more sources...
