Last year, I camped in the meadow just south or Forrester Pass the day before 
Summitting Whitney.   We arrived on top of the mountain at 5pm, just in time 
to make dinner and enjoy the sunset.  we spent the night and saw an incredible 
sunrise as well. I highly recomend it.
