[pct-l] Running Shoe vs HIking Boot
<<A Sherman Tank and myself weigh about the same nowdays so I must admit to
needing the extra support of a regular hiking boot over a running shoe. I
would step out and say most men over 200 lbs would agree. Running shoes are
great with light packs and light hikers, but us heavy weights did a little
more. I am starting to reduce gear weigh though ( each pound less of gear
means one more pound of food I can take )>>
LOL, I resemble that remark! But HOW do you fit the xtra calories into the
bear can? Twins?
Seriously, my daughter loves to pack wearing tennis shoes <groan>. I'm a
multi-hundred pounder that also requires strong boots. Another vote for big
weight needs big boots.
