[pct-l] Reasons for Leaving

I'd guess one of the major reasons for leaving the PCT is that it's easy.
In 1984 not a single one of the "locals", those hikers from California,
Oregon or Washington, made the entire 2600 miles. Those of us for whom
quitting would have been an incredible logistical hassle just kept on
truckin'. That included lots of people from the midwest and back east.
Maybe 1984 was an aberration but it would be interesting to check trail
logs from the starters in Campo, their homebase and the trail logs at
Stehekin.
