[pct-l] Info on Tuolumne Canyon...?

Has anyone on the list been in Yosemite's Tuolumne River Canyon downstream
from Waterwheel Falls recently? (this being not on the PCT, but a couple
miles downriver from Glen Aulin)... I was trying to get info on the
crossing at Return Creek, apparently the bridge was wrecked last year and
has not yet been rebuilt.  YNP Backcountry office people at Tuolumne Mdws
are only telling callers that that they know nothing because nobody's come
in to inform them, everyone's on their own if they attempt a crossing, the
standard caveats.
We were hoping to hike that way next week, some smaller kids are going
along too so we weren't interested in trying a deep- or fast-water
crossing......
