You probably already know this, but just to make sure - you'll most likely
be hiking on snow for nearly all of Washington. If you're comfortable with
that, great, but the trails *aren't* going to melt out in the next three
weeks, not with 50-90 inches of snow-water-content still sitting on them. I
don't know exactly what that translates to in terms of snow depth, but it's
many, many feet.
The Washington Cascades are supposed to get another eight inches of snow
tonight. *sigh* Will winter never end?
