Hi Margo, I have been using the sweetwater filter for two years now with good
luck. The pre-filter holes are smaller on the sweetwater than the pur, its
easier to pump and can be cleaned on the trail with your parters toothbush (
or the one that comes with the filter)  Also can add a iodine filter for your
trips in Nepal. Pur filters are also good. Good luck on your choice. Monte
