Sorry Helen, i have to disagree. Although the list is a great place for
general information, and has been a great tool that i use when i plan my
hikes, i also find that there are some questions about personal
experiences that lend itself to a more private environment. My general
rule is if the post is general in nature i will reply to the list. But
if it is an opinion well then i usually go privately. If someone posts
something and they don't want replies privately then they can either
delete their return address, or say that they don't want private
e-mails.
I also believe that personal attacks are a waste of time. Each person
has their own personal way of doing things, each person has their own
opinions about certain issues. That does not render my opinion wrong,
just different.
I figure you want this posted publicly?
