Speaking of guitars, we found one on the PCT just south of Mojave a few years
back. We decided to carry it out and try to find the owner. 

Before too long, we met the hiker who had suddenly realized his guitar was
missing and was backtracking to find it. At least, he didn't have to walk as
far as he would have if we had not happened along when we did.
