RE: [pct-l] Town stops

Idyllwild was a really nice place. Everything in wwalking distance and a
good place for a layoverday. But also very expensive (if you want a motel
room).

The outdoor store there is one of the few close to the trail, but you have
to be pretty desperate to buy anything as the they seemed to specialize in
last years models at this year's prices (the also sold fuel for around $5
per QUART)...

I had a mail drop there (and a planned layoverday), but enough food to go to
I10. Thought about skipping it because of the altitude loss/gain, but a snow
storm came along and forced me down. Given the choice on a nice day (or
planning again) I would probably skip it and try to organize something at
I10.
