[pct-l] The "Scots" Martina and Brian

The Scots finished up last Sunday at Walker Pass where they had flip
flopped from in the spring.  Let's hear a cheer of congratulations to all
the thru hikers who completed this most difficult year!

Martina and Brian were ferried to Bakersfield by Paul Hacker ('77) where
they rented a car a tooled around Sth Cal for a few days.  They came back
to my house on Tuesday and unpacked, repacked, mailed off and threw away a
mound of stuff.  They sadly leave for Scotland this afternoon, then on to a
wedding of a friend in Germany on Saturday.  Brian is going to try to slip
back into his old job and Martina is thinking about becoming a vet doc.  

It has been a rewarding experience helping them with the logistics and once
again being involved in the excitement of a PCT quest.

Take long strides . . .
