For Those Following Brian Sweet,

Brian called me Sunday morning from Sierra City.  He hasn't seen anyone
else walking south for weeks, so he assumes that he is the leading
southbound-after-hiking-Campo-Kennedy Meadows hiker.  

He says that the trail conditions are fine.  Mosquitos are wicked through
southern Oregon but very light to non-existent since hitting California. 

He walked for a week and a half through "boring Oregon" without seeing
anyone!  He's averaging just a little less than 30 miles per day without
strain.  He's healthy and fired up about the Sierra and "leaving to start
upon hanging up this phone."
