Namie Bacile aka "Let it be" tried it last year, but got turned back by
heavy early snows in the Sierras. It was really close. Check out the PCT
home page. They had updates on his progress last year. I think he is
trying it again this year. Namie has hiked the AT 3 or more times, the
PCT 2 3/4 times, and the CDT 3 times. I suggest talking to him next
fall at the ALDHA WEst Gathering. He could give you some ideas.
